Museum ClassEvery week we will look at some masterpieces from the amazing collection of the British empire. I will go through the art history and fun facts as well as analysis of the masterpiece from an artist's point of view to study in depth the composition, structure, content, colours and mark making. We do some sketches and homework!

Study with MastersWe look at the masters in art history, study in depth why it works and get the key element from them. Then through the recreation of their piece, we understand how to use their techniques with our own interpretations. We look at the basic elements of composition, perspectives, colours and tonal values in the introductory classes and throughout each piece. The work we will focus on is the impressionist period.

Chinese, Calligraphy and InkChinese characters are the most elegant form of art with complex deep meanings in its formations. We learn the wisdom from our ancesters from 5000 years ago the structure of each character, proverbs or poetry around it, and practice the traditionally way I learnt with master Guo Jinming starting with 5 minutes meditation. The mastery of the brush movement will make ink painting very easy. The eyes are then also well trained for other art forms such as drawings.

Poetry, Classics, Narrative Painting
We look at famous paintings with famous stories in the west. Narrative paintings based on Greek myths and Christianity with masters Titian, Michelangelo, Botticelli and more. We look at literature and painting, Dante, Goethe, William Blake, Shakespear. We also look at modern artist interpreting with poets such as Rumi, Gibran.

Young Masters
Similar to the Study with the Masters class but adapted to younger children. I am against colour pens which cut expressiveness, only brush and real paint will be used. Colours must be made with only the primaries to really learn. We encourage further interpretation of master works with their own ideas.
* There is a special class of this for Child and Moms for small children. It is for moms with great taste who are also eager to learn and improve themselves. See below some works done by 3 year olds and moms together. |
Young Creative Minds
The classes have unique design to combine story telling by mini theatre, creative techniques, response to music, documentary study and more. The cases used will be famous fables, Natgeo documentaries, classical musics from opera to ballet. Children will widen their vision with the knowledge as well as making creative artworks with given theme. I will guide them to keep their precious originality but also make a complete piece of artwork.

Clay SculptureWe look at famous sculptures from classical times to modern ones and study their composition, form, texture and play of light. We will use clay and tools to construct in steps from the bulk structure to "grow" each piece. Topics include portrait, still life, abstract.

Sculpture with Icing FondantSimilar to the Clay sculpture class, this is more family friendly. We will use icing fondant instead of clay so the result could be put on a cake if you wish. However the class will be structured so you will learn from a high artistic stand point and make the piece more of an artwork. We will focus the topics on flowers, figure and selective cartoon characters depends on the student's interest.

Paint Tote Bag, Hats and moreWe will be using acrylic paint to paint and design on fashion accessories such as tote bags, hats, shoes and more. We will look at some classic designer accessories from brands such as Versace, Pucci, D&G and and go through the key elements of composition, colour and texture with focus on the colours. We will make 3D decorations on top.
